POWDERSVILLE — Bethesda United Methodist Church will hold its annual men’s chicken barbeque — a tradition that’s been going on for 31 years.

The annual event will be held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday. The menu includes chicken, baked beans, slaw and a roll, and the cost per meal is $6.

Bethesda Methodist member Richard Kingman said that about 1,500 dinners will be served. About 330 chickens are on the grill at one time.

More than 25,000 dinners have been served over the past 31 years, according to Kingman.
