POWDERSVILLE — Powdersville Water District customers with sewer connections in the Renewable Water Resources service area will see an increase in their wastewater treatments charges effective in March.

Renewable Water Resources approved in December a new sewer rate schedule for the next five years.

The new 2011 rates will be effective with billing on or after March 1. The new monthly base fee will be $9.40 instead of the current rate of $9, the residential volume charge will be increase to $4.79 from $4.61 per thousand gallons and the commercial volume charge will increase to $4.55 from $4.38 per thousand gallons.

Per contract, Powdersville Water District bills sewer charges for several REWA customers in the Powdersville area.

Any variation in rates that customers pay is the sole responsibility of ReWa.

Customers who have questions about sewer rates can call Stacey Green, customer service/contract manager for ReWa, at 299-4000, extension 279.
