POWDERSVILLE — This week, Powdersville High School athletes connected with the community during “Meet the Patriots,” held Thursday evening.

Next week, athletes and boosters want to honor special members of the community — military

veterans.

The Patriots will hold “Patriot Night” Thursday, September 15 during their game against Palmetto, which begins at 6 p.m.

According to booster Mike Richardson, veterans are encouraged to come to the game earlier. All active or retired veterans who either present their military IDs or come to the game can sign in to receive free admission to the game in reserved seating for themselves and a guest.

All veterans will receive a patriot ribbon and a small American flag and will be recognized by name before the game.

“Our Powdersville Patriots want to thank the country’s real Patriots for their sacrifice and service,” Richardson said.

Please mark your calendars and be sure to come to the new Powdersville High’s Patriots stadium to help the school honor and thank our American Patriots.
