COLUMBIA – After South Carolina’s 16-13 loss to Auburn last week, Coach Steve Spurrier promised changes to jump start his team’s offense this week against Kentucky.

The most prominent change is at quarterback where Spurrier is benching longtime starter Stephen Garcia in favor of sophomore Conner Shaw.

After opening the season with two wins, the Wildcats have lost 3 in a row and need a boost to avoid being out of contention.Kentucky is 0-2 in Southeastern Conference play with losses to Florida (48-10) and L.S.U. (35-7).

Game time is 12:20 p.m.
