An Anderson Christmas tradition for 21 years, this season’s concert will have the sparkle and shine of a brand new production thanks to a new location and new music selections. Celebrating the excitement and expectation of the holidays, the GAMAC Chorale under the direction of Don Campbell will perform such holiday classics as The Twelve Days of Christmas, The Very Best Time of the Year and O Come, All Ye Faithful while the Boy Choir and Girl Choir ensembles delight audiences with popular favorites like Dashing Through the Snow. The GAMAC Orchestra under the direction of Alex Spainhour will delight ring in the season and delight classical music fans with J.S. Bach’s In dulci jubilo and the “Overture” from Handel’s Messiah. Add an audience sing-a-long with the orchestra and you’ve got a perfect start to your holidays!
Founded in 1991 with a mission to entertain, educate and enrich lives, GAMAC is an organization committed to providing the very best in community musical performing arts and education. As the presenting organization for the GAMAC Chorale, Chamber Orchestra, Anderson Symphony Orchestra, Electric City Big Band, Boy Choir and Girl Choir, the organization provides high quality cultural experiences for the Upstate and a forum for excellence for both professional and avocational musicians.
