Organized to raise money for the Wren High School Athletic Program, the event provides everyone the opportunity to play in the mud while supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds will be used to purchase and maintain sports equipment, assist with travel and team related expenses and will benefit all sports programs at Wren High School, both boys and girls.
“There’s nothing quite as exhilarating as watching people you know and love battle for the title of Champion Mud Warrior,” said Dan Cooper, one of the FLUD Run organizers. “We want this to be a fun event that will challenge participants, while raising money to support athletic programs at Wren High School. You might still get yelled at and it very well could be your mom, but this time, its not child’s play, it is for a great cause.”
Presented by Oobië, the inaugural Hurricane FLUD Run was made possible by AnMed Family Practice, First Team Sports, Tri-County Rental, Palmetto Engineering, First Citizens Bank, Cooper Tech Services, Trophies Unlimited, Carolina Elite Soccer Academy, RC – Cheerwine - Monster Energy and Brian Ramey & Associates Trial Lawyers.
The FLUD Run executive committee wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Pelzer EMS, MedShore, Anderson County Emergency Medical Services, Wren and Three & Twenty Fire Departments, Anderson County Fire and Anderson County for their support in making the event possible.
