PENDLETON — Tri-County Technical College’s fourth annual bluegrass concert is returning, with free family fun featuring bands, fireworks and department displays.

The community is invited to attend Bluegrass under the Stars, a free concert and fireworks event for the family set for Saturday, April 4, from 5-9:30 p.m. in the College's Amphitheater on the Pendleton Campus. The event will be held rain or shine. If it rains, it will be held in the College’s Student Center.

Formerly from North Georgia, Texas-based Honi Deaton & Dream will headline the show with additional performances by Tugalo Holler, New Dixie Storm and Legacy Drive. The concert will end with a fireworks extravaganza.

BBQ plates, Chick-fil-A, ice cream, funnel cakes and other refreshments will be for sale during the event.

Sandvik/Valenite is the event’s Champion sponsor. Other community sponsors include Clemson Area Transit, Dr. Art Bruce Family Dentistry, the Town of Pendleton, the Tri-County Technical College Alumni Association, Ben Childress, Sandy Springs Water Company and The Palmetto Bank.

In-kind sponsors include Bi-Lo of Pendleton, S. K. Busby Nursery and Landscaping and Subway of Pendleton.

Several of Tri-County’s academic departments will offer information and fun activities for concert goers.
