The January meeting of the Anderson County Republican Women will be held on Monday, January 25 the at Main Street Deli at 305 S. Main Street in Anderson. The dutch treat dinner buffet will begin at 6:00 p.m. at a cost of $10 per person, with the business meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Betty Poe, current president of the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women, will hold an installation ceremony for the newly elected officers of the club. ACRP member Patty Watts will also give an update from the SCFRW convention that was held in October. A reservation is recommended by Friday, January 22nd. Guest are always welcome to attend. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office will hold a community meeting with the Tall Oaks Subdivision at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Powdersville Library.
Anderson One Board of Trustees — Jan. 26
The board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Board Room at 801 North Hamilton Street in Williamston on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
Powdersville Council luncheon — Jan. 28
The Powdersville Council of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly luncheon at noon on Thursday, Jan. 28. Matt Schell, with the Anderson County Parks Department will speak about the proposed kayak corridor in the Powdersville/Piedmont area. If you plan to attend, call the Easley Chamber at 859-2693.
