PIEDMONT —The Easley High School girls basketball team remains winless after falling to Wren 63-31 Friday night.
Easley stayed in the game in the first quarter, trailing 12-11 at the end of the period, but Wren outscored the Green Wave 18-6 in the second quarter, taking control of the game.
Matrice Jefferson led Easley with 9 points. Others scoring for the Green Wave were Beth Parker 5, Jessica Crawford 5, Mikaya Smith 5, Bethany Henson 3, Dashia Anderson 2, Wreath Rodrigues 1 and Lauren Matthews 1.
Ashley Clary led Wren with 20 points. Addie Merrit added 18 and Tiara Cox scored 11. Others scoring for the Hurricanes were Maura Matter 6, Chelsea Hawkins 5 and Brook Irvin 3.
Easley will host Laurens Friday night. Wren plays at Hanna.
