The Wren Lady Hurricanes traveled to Easley to take on the Green Wave.
The first game of the night was the JV game. Wren dominated the first half, taking 18 shots on Easley's goal, with returning eighth grader Beth Spence scoring the first goal for Wren with 3:27 remaining.
The Hurricanes allowed Easley to take only two shots on Wren's goal in the first half. Second half of play saw Beth Spence again scoring for the Hurricanes with 23:30 on the clock. Easley's defense stepped up only allowing Wren seven shots on the goal. Easley was able to get the ball down on their half of the field for one shot on Wren's goalie, Victoria Darr. Final score Wren 2 Easley 0.
This win improves the JV record to 3-1, with all the wins so far being shut outs.
In the second game of the night, the varsity girls took to the field.
Wren had taken 13 shots on Easley's goal with Kristen Baker and Janie Rice scoring in the first half. The score at halftime was Wren 3, Easley 0.
In the second half, Wren shot fifteen times, and again scored three goals. Anne Marie Barthelmes, Hadley Acherhoff, and Janie Rice scored for Wren.
Easley was able to finally break through the Hurricane defense and scored a goal with 5:11 remaining in the game. Final score, Wren 6 Easley 1.
