STATE — U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, R-S.C.-03 leads all gubernatorial candidates in the Powdersville Post’s online poll, taking 30 percent of the vote.

Coming in at close second is state Rep. Nikki Haley, who takes 25 percent of the vote. The poll includes all seven candidates, both Republicans and Democrats.

The leading Democrat in the Post’s online poll is state Sen. Vincent Sheheen, with 13 percent of the vote.

The Post’s online poll is not a scientific poll.

The current poll asks votes who they hope will be Anderson County’s next representative for the District 6 area. District 6 includes the Powdersville and Wren communities, and currently seats Councilman Ron Wilson.
