Farr will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony in Columbia on May 19.
Farr has served as Anderson School District One’s Career Development Facilitator for the past three years.
As a result of her job responsibilities, she has daily interaction with the most at-risk high school students facing various obstacles to their educational goals and career planning. Farr provides both one-on-one counseling and group counseling, playing a major role in helping students prepare for continuing their education or beginning a career after graduation.
She has been instrumental in identifying homeless students and accessing services needed in order to bridge gaps frequently encountered by unaccompanied youth.
