The juniors will play the freshmen at 6 p.m., and the seniors will play the sophomores immediately afterward. The Mr. Homelycoming contest will be held between the two contests.
After the junior vs. freshman game and the senior vs. sophomore game, the winners of each game will square off against each other.
Girls basketball and softball Coach Lynn Hicks said there will be a raffle during the annual event. Cane’s Corner, Willow Tree Landscape, OOBE, Smithfield Country Club and Anchor Pools are all donating prizes for the raffle. The winner will be chosen at the game on Saturday.
More than 200 students have signed up to coach, play, cheer and participate in the “Mr. Homelycoming” portion of the Powderpuff game, according to Hicks.
The gates will open at 5 p.m. for food, fun, entertainment and music, and the first game will start at 6 p.m.
The cost of admission is $5 per person.
Powderpuff is a major fundraiser for the athletic booster club.
