The best entertainment talk show and best entertainment talk show host were given to The Kelly Clarkson Show. Turning the Tables and Tamron Hall both received awards for hosting their respective educational talk shows.

The prize for the finest educational talk program went to Robin Roberts. Family Feud’s Steve Harvey won best game show host, and Jeopardy won the best game show.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and the Television Academy jointly announced plans in December to organize the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards by content genre rather than by air time.

The ceremony, held at the Pasadena Convention Center, is the first since that announcement.

Additionally, the first-ever Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, with pertinent categories separate from the Daytime Emmys into their own competition and ceremony, will take place in 2022 in acknowledgment of the significantly increased content and entries for children’s programs.

On June 18, a live-streamed ceremony announced the Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy winners. Netflix led all networks and platforms with nine prizes, while The Kelly Clarkson Show took home five.

Despite the show’s turbulent year in which executive producer Mike Richards, who had been named host as Alex Trebek’s replacement, was sacked after a week owing to prior comments and contentious conduct, Jeopardy extended its winning streak as the finest game show.

Executive producer Michael Davies remarked backstage, “The scandal was, as we call it at “Jeopardy!,” “the awkward months.”

But it demonstrated the strength of their fanbase and how fervently their supporters care about the show, which is very crucial. We were particularly reminded of how amazing the game is by what Matt Amodio, Amy Schneider, Mattea (Roach), and Ryan (Long) did during the season. The cast of our show, along with hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings, have done an outstanding job.”

Added Davies that a hosting announcement is something they expect to have very, very soon. However, with all their ambitions for “Jeopardy!” — To move the franchise forward, numerous hosts are needed to represent the entire audience and the entire nation.

Previously, on June 18 at the Pasadena Convention Center, the 49th Annual Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards were held. Kelly Clarkson won five awards, followed by Penguin Town with three.

The final season of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” won a Daytime Emmy during the Creative Arts Emmys for best writing team for a daytime non-fiction program.
