The Supreme Court Quashes Challenge To ‘Obamacare’

The Supreme Court of the United States of America has quashed the challenge that was put on the national medical insurance under the federal scheme of ‘Obamacare’ which is the official Affordable Care Act

. This Act came into effect under the Presidency of Barack Obama. This Act ensures insurance to millions of Americans for medical facilities, it was one of the breakthroughs for the Obama Administration.

But throughout the pandemic a lot of questions have been raised on the healthcare system of the United States of America. 

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, many were able to afford basic healthcare facilities during the times of the pandemic.

In a milestone decision from the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the court has quashed the all-Republican motive to challenge the motive of ‘Obamacare’.

It is very much obvious that the medical healthcare system is very expensive in the United States of America. So, Obamacare is one of the ways to ease the pressure on the natives with the heavy hospital bills.

This scheme has especially proved beneficial for millions of Americans as they have availed the facilities insured under the Affordable Care Act during the coronavirus pandemic.

The bench of nine judges gave the judgement for the same and the appeal that questioned the integrity of Obamacare was quashed by a majority vote of seven judges over two judges and the decision was made that the scheme of Obamacare will stay intact and continue to help the millions insured under it.

The Biden Administration has come forward in support of the Affordable care act and said that more than 31 million people are insured under the scheme.

Revoking the scheme will result in taking away the hopes of millions who do not have enough to pay their medical expenses. It is surprising to know why the opposition party of the Republicans challenge the scheme that benefits millions at the same time. 

This has not been done just once, but it was the third time that the Supreme Court of the United States has quashed such a plea by the opposition. The Affordable Care Act is sanctioned under the Constitution of the United States of America, and it also offers protection to people having an existing medical condition.

The scheme is an expansion of healthcare facilities that cannot afford private insurance. This scheme is a boon for lower-income families as they don’t have to worry much about being insured privately as Obamacare is here to take care of all their medical needs.

During times of crisis, the Affordable Care Act has saved many lives and as the pandemic is still going on, the risk of evoking the scheme could cost lives. 

The President of the United States did not hesitate in commenting on the same. He exclaimed that the Affordable Care Act is the law of the land backed by the sanction of the US Constitution and there is no way the Supreme Court would do injustice to the lives of the people. He was rejoicing at the ruling of the Supreme Court of the land.

The Affordable Care Act was challenged by former US  President Donald Trump and not just once but thrice and somehow. The Act managed to survive because it has genuine benefits for the lower-income families and also for the elderly and poor people of the country. The former Democrat President of the United States of America has supported the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States, and he said that the Affordable Care Act is here to stay.
